Obera is a city in the Misiones Province of Argentina, located in south-central of the province, in the middle of the Central Andean Mountains, 97 km far from the airport de posadas.
To arrive to this region by land can be used National Routes No. 12 and 14, and Provincial Routes No. 103 and 105 that are paved and in excellent conditions.
A few kilometers away the city is linked with the Republic of Brazil, by the river ports that allow the passage of vehicles and people across the Uruguay River.
Known as the "Capital del Monte" Oberá has a subtropical climate with average annual temperatures of 20º C, with maximum of 33 degrees Celsius in summer and minimum of 10 degrees Celsius in winter.

At present boom have much interpretive visits to dryers and tea plantations and herbal Moulin’s.
Sites to visit are the famous ruins of San Ignacio, the Garden of the Birds, the Park of Nations, the Agro-Camping Santa Rita, the Reserve of Chachi, and the historical Museum and Natural Science, among the most prominent.
